Hook Norton Brewery Relaunches Haymaker Cask Ale
Hook Norton Brewery returns its Haymaker Cask Ale with free samples across 12 Oxfordshire pubs on July 2, coinciding with a Pub of the Year award ceremony.
Hook Norton Brewery is relaunching Haymaker, its seasonal cask ale, with a multi-venue tasting event across its pub estate on July 2. The brewery will offer free samples from 6pm at 12 venues in Oxfordshire and surrounding areas, with the main celebration at The Butchers Arms in Balscote, where North Oxfordshire CAMRA will present its Pub of the Year Award. Haymaker is a 5% ABV pale ale brewed with Goldings hops, described by the brewery as delivering "a smooth ale with a delicate and light fruit taste." The additional sampling locations include The Butchers Arms in Kings Sutton, The Great Western Arms in Aynho, The Hare & Hounds in Wardington, The Star Inn in Sulgrave, The Bell in Adderbury, The Red Lion in Steeple Aston, The Castle in Oxford, The Elephant & Castle in Bloxham, The Coach & Horses in Shipston-on-Stour, Ye Olde Reine Deer Inn in Banbury, The Fox in Chipping Norton, and The Pear Tree in Hook Norton. The launch supports the brewery's managed pub network, which spans the Midlands and Southeast. Seasonal ale releases remain a fixture in the UK cask beer market, with operators using them to drive foot traffic during summer months.
